| Born
in Port-au-Prince on March 19 ,1924,Joseph began drawing at an
early age. His passion for Fine Arts led him to the Centre D'Art
where he was considered a primitive Painter.A few years later
he left the Art Center to be among the founders of the "Foyer
Des Arts Plastiques "with Nehemy, Cedor, Dorcely, Rene Exume
etc...In 1957,he moved to the United States where he lived until
1963. Back in Port-au Prince, he opened "Coin D'Art, an art
gallery with the help of his friends Rene Pierre and Daniel Lafontant.
His paintings are very rare today. |
